Updated: Snowboard Gear 2019 List | HEADS UP
Okay, so I have recently avoided looking at my bank balance due to fear of what I might see haha. As I prepare for a trip to Mayrhofen, Austria for a week in April 2019, I have decided to replace several items in my gear. I want to improve the comfort, reliability and performance while I am shreddin’. I have highlighted the updated items in my gear list below:
HELMET: Anon Echo MIPS - Black *new*
GOGGLES: Copozz Pro Ski/Snowboarding (UV400)
JACKET: Bonfire Wakeena 2017 - Flame Red
MITTS: Burton MB Baker 2in1 - Black
PANTS: Oakley Ski Insul. - Black *new*
BOOTS: ThirtyTwo STW Boa 2018/19 - Black *new*
BOARD: Bataleon Whatever 159W 2018
BINDINGS: Union Men’s Force 2017/18 - White
TRAVEL BAG: Dakine Low Roller 165cm - Zion
Accessories: Dakine Snow Wrist Guards, Balacalva, Urban Shredderz Tees
Why did I replace items?
Helmet - extremely important for safety, so I would recommend they’re worn all the time. I have replaced my Trespass helmet with an Anon Echo MIPS helmet as it has more ventilation which is also adjustable to prevent my head getting hot or too cold. Also, MIPS technology helps with angled impacts.
Snowboard Pants - important for comfort when you’re shredding’, I have replaced my temporary pants with Oakley Ski Insul. Pants, which have more ventilation zips for better breathability and improved water resistance.
Snowboard Boots - very important for comfort and was getting foot pain because my boots were too tight, so I have replaced my ThirtyTwo Prions (laced) with ThirtyTwo SWTs (Boa lacing system) for comfort and ease of tightening the boots.
What are you packing in 2019?!
